We have formal donation commitments that account for more than 2% of revenue. Some fiber sources (Lenzing - tier 3) have ambitious transparency goals.
Hass has completed audited calculations of scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and purchased accredited offsets. The blend of materials produces fewer emissions than other commonly chosen textiles within the industry. Hass actively advocates for clean water through high-engagement lobbying activities. Modal from Lenzing is endorsed by Canopy Planet to be sustainably sourced. Hass has performed an LCA on this material to compare it to industry alternatives.

Our donation program results in 90%+ donation rates of returned products. Hass uses select materials that are certified according to specific recycled standards (GRS, RCS).
Silky and Sustainable
Modal is a superior natural fiber. Ethically sourced from beech tree pulp, it’s more durable than rayon and has a silkier quality than cotton. It’s also a more environmentally friendly alternative — beech trees require little water to thrive and the production process consumes 10 to 20 percent less water than cotton. Plus, it’s manufactured using a closed-loop process, which repurposes 99 percent of the non-toxic solvent used during production and recycles expended water.
Proudly Sewn in LA
More than 95 percent of clothing is imported from overseas. Often, the clothes are made in factories with devastating environmental impacts and terrible human rights violations, including forced child labor. Intensive carbon emissions from transporting garments overseas increase the greenhouse gasses that lead to the climate crisis. That’s why we cut, dye, and sew this leisurewear collection in Los Angeles with Lenzing certified modal from Austria. The Global Organic Textile Standard has thoroughly vetted our factory partners to ensure we’re meeting the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.
Lightweight & Luxurious
Clothing With Integrity
At Hass, our elegant, luxury collections are made with natural, sustainable materials and never include harmful chemicals. We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure the clothing we make doesn’t damage the planet, wildlife, our customers, or our workers.
Proud to Be a B Corp
Certified B Corporations balance purpose and profit. They are the gold standard for responsible business, demanding accountability toward a sustainable and inclusive economy. The rigorous certification process provides the highest standard of verified positive impact of a company. Once approved, B Corporations are legally required to change their governing documents to consider the result of their decisions on workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.
