Silky and Sustainable
Modal is a superior natural fiber. Ethically sourced from beech tree pulp, it’s more durable than rayon and has a silkier quality than cotton. It’s also a more environmentally friendly alternative — beech trees require little water to thrive and the production process consumes 10 to 20 percent less water than cotton. Plus, it’s manufactured using a closed-loop process, which repurposes 99% of the non-toxic solvent used during production and recycles expended water.

Sewn In LA
More than 95 percent of clothing is imported from overseas. Often, the clothes are made in factories with devastating environmental impacts and terrible human rights violations, including forced child labor. Intensive carbon emissions from transporting garments overseas increase the greenhouse gasses that lead to the climate crisis. That’s why we cut, dye, and sew this leisurewear collection in Los Angeles with Lenzing certified modal from Austria. The Global Organic Textile Standard has thoroughly vetted our factory partners to ensure we’re meeting the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.
